Chrysalis Holidays is a not for profit social enterprise owned by Epiphany Trust. We run themed and educational holidays for adults with a learning disability. Since 1991 we have been providing life-changing and life-enhancing experiences, enabling young and old to participate in exciting activities around the UK and Europe.

Based on a variety of themes, there is something for all tastes and abilities, including arts & crafts, music, wildlife & nature, adventure, transport, Christmas and - of course - lots of relaxing on the beach, both at home and abroad. Guests are encouraged to do as much as possible for themselves, making the holiday an active and not a passive experience.

We pride ourselves on being a thoughtful and considerate employer and because of this enjoy a very invested, stable and long serving staff team. Highly unusual in the care industry.

Through around 70 holidays, we currently provide nearly 500 individual holiday places per year, affording our guests an opportunity to travel which they may not otherwise have, and giving their families and full-time carers much needed respite. Many guests take multiple holidays per year with us, creating long-standing friendships with other holidaymakers in the process.

Chrysalis was a pioneer in the field of supported holidays, established just when the ‘Care in the Community’ initiative replaced old Victorian Institutions. We are proud to still be an industry leader. Providing a much needed service for an often marginalised part of our society.
