Come and discover where we get our food from – learn how flour is made at the only working windmill in Wales. Have the opportunity to hold chicks, feed lambs and ride on a tractor. Get involved in different aspects of farm life in this fun “hands on” holiday.

Travel has changed and developed over time, here is an opportunity to experience historical & modern day transport. Enjoy a journey down memory lane at the Llandudno Transport Festival advertised as a “Vintage Extravaganza”. Also a day at Caernarfon airport, with its “hands on” museum. The first week includes a day trip to Dublin on the fast ferry, the second a flight over the Menai straits in a light aircraft. (An alternative activity will be offered if the flight is cancelled due to poor weather conditions)

Discover the magnificent coastline and mountains of North Wales. You will spend time enjoying the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia – the highest mountain range in England & Wales. You will also visit some of the many beaches & coves around Anglesey.

Take a leisurely break with friends, fun and fresh cream teas. Compare what the “posh” hotels, small tea rooms and beach cafes have to offer and decide which you like the most… then have a go at making your own!

Finding the best tearoom in the Lake District or Snowdonia… what a challenge! So get your taste buds ready and see where the mission takes you. Depending on your chosen holiday, you will enjoy the peace, tranquillity (and cake) of one of Britain’s most beautiful National Parks.

Back by popular demand, Drama Week returns to the Chrysalis programme for 2009. If you like films, TV, shows and anything thespian this is the week for you. You’ll learn about the stars of the big screen, see a show at the local theatre and even take part as our own drama unfolds through the week.

Be immersed in the world of trains. Take a train journey through the Welsh mountains on one of the famous narrow gauge tracks and visit the train museum at Betws-y-Coed, which is a must for all train enthusiasts with its working models, layouts and miniature steam trains. Also spend time at Llanfairpwllgwyngllogerchwyrndrobwllantysiliogogogoch station which has become a tourist destination in its own right.

Put on your sun hats ‘cos summer is here again. The most popular of all Chrysalis Holidays: the traditional summer vacation by the sea, including boat rides, beach days, barbeques and much more. There will be something for everyone, so relax, make new friends, and enjoy the summer.

For those who love adventure and are up a challenge. Be prepared to try things for the first time. Visit the ever popular “Ropeworks” with its rope ladders, ‘3G’ swing and zip lines. Also enjoy the thrill of a speed boat ride. A great experience for those who like the outdoors. The July holidays take place on Anglesey, the August one in the Lake District. You must be physically able to take part in these holidays.

Take your pick between breathtaking views of the Lake District or Anglesey. Ride across England’s largest lake on the Windermere steamer or sail to Puffin Island. Take leisurely strolls in the fresh country air, mosey around quaint towns and craft shops and, weather permitting, enjoy a drink and snack in the sun.

Plenty to see and do this week. Explore the ancient copper mines of Anglesey, travel to the heart of awe-inspiring Snowdonia, not to mention the beaches, railways and shopping centres… take a fresh look at what North Wales has to offer.

So much to see and do in the land of dramatic mountains, beautiful coast, castles and legends. Visit the castles of Beaumaris & Conway – amongst the oldest and best preserved in the country. Discover how local legends became involved in the lives of people from the past and enjoy shopping for souvenirs in the distinctive towns of North Wales.

If you are fascinated by animals, both wild and tame, then this is the week for you. By taking woodland walks we’ll discover the wildlife of Anglesey from birds to bugs. We’ll see more exotic animals in the mountain zoo; visit a working farm and places like the Butterfly Palace or Underwater World.

Can summer be over already? Not if we’ve got anything to do with it! Whilst everyone is back to work for the autumn we’re out doing everything summer: going to the beach, fruit picking and cooking on the barbeque.

A week to bring out your artistic flair. Be inspired by your surroundings or get ideas from famous artists to create your own masterpiece. Try experimenting with different techniques and let your imagination go wild.

Whether it’s classic recipes or something original, if you enjoy cooking (and eating!) you’ll love this week. Join our resident chef as he demonstrates his skills and teaches tricks of the trade in our well equipped spacious kitchen. Whether it’s the Chocolate Farm, bread making at the windmill or eating in a local restaurant, we’ll have a full, fun itinerary.

Revel in a week dedicated to music, TV, the soaps… and anything else that’s popular in today’s society. Listen to your favourite artists, watch your favourite stars and show off your knowledge in our pub trivia quiz.

Spend a traditional few days in Blackpool to thrill the senses before winter sets in – the lights, pleasure beach and tower entertainments. Staying at a small friendly hotel you’re sure to be spoiled and have loads of fun.

At last… Christmas is here again! Try your hand at Christmas fayre: Cook your own Christmas pudding and learn how to make your own decorations. And of course, there’ll be chance to make a start on your Christmas shopping!

Go the whole hog and get in the mood for Christmas with our festive extravaganza at the Mayfair Hotel, Blackpool. The tree, the decorations, roast turkey, presents and carols – it’ll all be here!

Take part in Chrysalis’ first ever city break. Be amazed by historic York with castles, walled city centre and impressive cathedral. Staying in private self-catering accommodation.

Set on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Settle is one of the most picturesque spots in the country. Stay in a cosy cottage complete with log fire and hill-top views.

A top British holiday resort for many years, and with good reason. Scarborough is focussed on its tourists. Stay in bed & breakfast accommodation on the sea-front, amuse yourself in the amusement arcade and stroll along the pier.

Enjoy summer in Lancashire’s grand old seaside resort. Blackpool’s little brother offers much of the same entertainment, but at a more laid-back pace. Also take the opportunity to visit the magnificent neighbouring city of Lancaster.

Our favourite destination! Anglesey in August is a wonderful place to be. Rolling hills, untouched beaches, you’re bound to love this exclusive holiday around many of the island’s beauty spots that we have discovered.

Steer your way through the many tourist trappings of Blackpool during the Illumination season. From riding the ‘Big One’ at the Pleasure Beach to eating rock and playing ‘hook-a-duck’ on the North Pier…it’s impossible to be bored in Blackpool!

Enjoy the beauty and mild climate of the Canary Islands. This small group holiday will be staying in an exclusive villa with private swimming pool. There will be a full itinerary with day and evening activities, with plenty time for relaxing by the pool. We fly from Manchester airport.

A full range of activities will be organised, including a visit to the fantastic Zoomarine, where you can see the dolphins and, if you are adventurous, can swim with them*. “Casa Feliz” is a small family run guesthouse in the heart of Granada province, nestling in the hills with views over the surrounding vineyards. It is run by British hosts and former care workers – Dave and Irene Graham. The accommodation is full board, and Dave and Irene also help with our programme of activities. We fly from Liverpool airport.

We love our annual visit to Ireland. Staying at the purpose built Lough Lannagh Holiday Village in Castlebar, a short drive from the beautiful town of Westport. The area is of outstanding natural beauty with miles of sandy beaches and the famous mountain of Croagh Patrick. We now have many friends there who look forward to us coming, and especially enjoy the bowling competition. We Travel across Ireland in our own mini-bus, via the Holyhead-Dublin ferry.
