Between
summer 2006 and spring 2007, the “Rejoice Gospel Choir”
of Western Ireland raised a staggering 32,000 euros towards the
purchase of a 2,000 sq.m plot of land and the construction of
a second “Arc”, to be modelled on our facility in
Sinaia.
Following the success of the original
“Arc” it had long been our aim to expand our “halfway
house” scheme, and after discussions with Ion Vlasici, the
director of the Lugoj orphanage, a stunning hillside site overlooking
the village of Stuica was purchased, and construction work began
in September, 2009. The roof was completed before Christmas and
2010 sees the Trust fundraising in order to see it equipped and
fully operational.
